JUST A THROWBACK

Let's have a bit of throwback! I remember when I and my sister were given ₦1(one naira) as pocket money to purchase snacks during break time in school. I would take 50kobo and give her 50kobo.🙂 With ₦1, we could purchase chin-chin, kuli-kuli, sweets, and other snacks. I could still remember using the coin as a tool in drawing the National Coat of Arm. I would place the coin under my note book and shade. Then boom! It appears on my notebook as though it was done by a professional artist 😂. At ho

IN MY SHOES

When I was born I was without shoes Now as an adult I find myself in different shoes Some of them I choose to buy Some were gifts or so I thought Others, I can't just tell How I got them But, I never stole any. Some of these shoes fit perfectly Some don't fit Some are way too big Others are too tight Yet I wear them Enduring the discomfort. When you see me having them on You admire them on my feet But you may not understand that 'He who wears the shoe knows where it pinches'. We all wear these s

A FRIEND INDEED

Tells you he will forever stay true to you, But in reality, stays until through with you. Takes from your thirsty soul that cup of water, Pours it into his over flowing well. Takes your last coin, Makes up for the ninety nine he has. Takes your secret, Keeps it with the wind. Takes the thirty pieces of silver, Gives you in with a kiss. Takes it all from you, Leaving you so in need.

TRUE HAPPINESS

I searched for you, And you seemed to hard to find. Some say that you are in their riches, Others say you are in the pot bellied man who spends nights drowning in bottles. I searched high and low, Near and far, Still wondering where to find you. Another said that you are in fame and power, The other said that you are in beauty and glamour. But little did I know that you have been, And you are all around me. In the dawning of a new day, In the smiles of a little child, In the gentle touch of the

WHEN A PICTURE TELLS A STORY (A #throwback ) Looking at this picture, I can't help but smile because of the beautiful memories it gives. This is a picture of Thebeezybee while in primary school, 😁 at Murna Children School. I really can't remember much but this picture has a lot of stories of different persons. I can still remember Uncle Idris, my teacher and the names of some of my classmates; Zainab, Fatima, Mariam, Oluchukwu, Hajara, Tope, Bello, Hadiza, Helen,Evelyn, Peju, Chinazor,Obinna, R

WHAT CAN TWENTY NAIRA DO FOR YOU

"Daddy what will I buy with ₦20 Twenty naira?", a child asked the father, grudgingly. If a child can ask such, what will be your thoughts? 'Is the child not appreciative?' 'Is  ₦20 not enough for a child to spend' 'What can I really buy with ₦20?' 'Does  ₦20 still have value?'... Hold it right there! Enough of all your thoughts 😁. Twenty naira still has great value. Wondering what? Here it is 🙂. This currency can be a source of education to you if only you are willing to learn. This currency has

MONEY WELL SPENT

This Morning Trip on my mind 🙂 I got to the bus park this morning to join a bus to the office. When I got there, all those bus drivers with their 'Akpangiri' (condemned) buses were asking me to pay #400naira  to a place I usually pay #300naira despite the hike in fuel price. I just walked 🚶🏾‍♀️ majestically out of the park. (Abi nah dem dey work the money for me?) I got to the other side of the road and guess what? A bus (not just any regular bus but a brand new bus) stopped and picked me up to

A STATEMENT OF WISDOM

#WednesdayWisdom "Do to others what you want others to do to you". These are words from my parents that have shaped almost every aspect of my life. Interestingly when I was much younger the statement didn't make much sense because kids will always be kids.Sometimes as a younger me, I have found myself doing some things or saying some things to others but when they do such to me, I feel really hurt so deep that I would not want to talk to anyone. Then you will hear these words especially my moth

IN THE EYES OF THE ONE I LOVE

In the eyes of the one I love, I see rainfall in the desert, I see peace in the storms, Everything becomes beautiful. In the eyes of the one I love, Sorrow leaves and joy stays, Smiles stream deep from my heart, The sun shines on everything I do. In the eyes of the one I love, I fly high like an eagle, Mountains become surmountable, My dreams become achievable. In the eyes of the one I love, I find strength when I am weak, Tears are but streams of joy flowing endlessly, My heart beats melodiousl

BLESSING COME DIFFERENTLY

Do You Know Blessings Come Differently? We enjoy Blessings every day. They come from God through persons; especially those we least expected. 🙂 I do see these three little kids on their way to school; when going to work sometimes. When I see them, I do ask briefly about their mum and dad because I see them going to school all by themselves. So today I got set for work as usual.  While leaving the house, the clouds turned dark. You know what that means 🙂. Since I was to walk to the bus stop, I ha

LEARN FROM A FALL

Something happened to me today. I found myself with my knees on the ground, head bow and hands on the ground. It's not that that I was worshipping God. I fell! While trying to catch up with a bus to work, I wanted to avoid the gutter filled with water. As I jumped, that was how I slipped and I found myself in that position. This happened in public (So embarrassing right?😁). Some persons said "Oh sorry" others laughed but I quickly stood up dusted my dress and went ahead to join the bus. I didn't

FACE YOUR FEARS

This dog in this picture is called Weiller. She was a terror. No stranger dared come close to my boss's house because of her. She had attacked persons who ignorantly crossed her path leaving them with severe injuries that my boss had to spend money to take care of. I love dogs but I tend to be careful with them after an experience I had with one that left me with a scar. Back to this dog in the picture. Each time I visited my boss this dog would bark non-stop and start jumping as though she woul

WHAT KIND OF TEMPTATION IS THIS

This morning I entered a bus jejely going to work. I didn't take breakfast as I left the house in a hurry. While in the bus, a wonderful passenger seated close to me just started eating hot Akara. (Oga Sir! This early mormor? Haba!). He was bringing it one by one from the cellophane bag. My nose was just collecting the aroma while my intestines were running around thinking I was going to give them something now. 😏 Infact, if my nose likes it should pass the strongest signal to my stomach. BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

They are like dews, whetting the appetite of my heart, Making me smile and laugh, I am glad that I have them. They came in phases of my life a baby, a teenager, a young adult and as an adult. I remember Looking into my mother's eyes as she sings and gives me my bath, Running out of the room at the sound of 'Daddy is home' Running into his arms as he lifts me up, How I felt I could touch the sky. Watching mummy come home with other babies, And the house smelling of new born baby, Watching my fath
