Follow your heart

We all get entangle with our desires for amusement after all we only live once, and everyone dies. Happiness is a state of mind, not an actual fact. Follow what you love, but it must also love you too. Follow your heart, but don’t forget to find a home for your heart because you will be tired of chasing a clout.

Doubts

Doubts beat my mind Confusion sets me behind They say love looks beautiful But pain still has me confined They say love crowns Queens and Kings in delight But heartbreak sets mine in a broken Kingdom of doubts and denial And with nobody to hold through the malign Effect of distress and trials The disease of loneliness rejoices For the failure of love continues to inspire. Doubts beat my mind and set my heart Apart in confusion leaving it behind And out of line to be crowned as king in delights.

"Nature" Is What We See Poem by Emily Dickinson

"Nature" is what we see— The Hill—the Afternoon— Squirrel—Eclipse—the Bumble bee— Nay—Nature is Heaven— Nature is what we hear— The Bobolink—the Sea— Thunder—the Cricket— Nay—Nature is Harmony— Nature is what we know— Yet have no art to say— So impotent Our Wisdom is To her Simplicity.

Rat Race

Better days are promised, but knowing we'll wake to a life full of pain, sleep eludes us. So on our beds we wrestle with sleep. Thus, we suit up hoping to go through the day without peril, in our quest to find cheeseless bread. Yet with our heads up we don't give up in this rat race, because, in these shoes we won't find protection at all cost. - TOVoM

POISON TREE

Once upon a time, when all men were equal No rich, no poor No law, no war And they thought they were FREE But, there lived a Poison TREE One bite, denied freedom for all. (c) Alex O'bor, 2020. All rights reserved.

A poem for her

Knock, knock, knock Beauty at morning's door After a night filled with adventures Dreams of christ and his unfailing love Multiple dimensions in a single world Different experiences before dawn War and chaos in a living void Death and loss like there's no law A very tough and strange night indeed And yet the princess sleeps with no worries With visions appearing like movies Five hours felt like an eternity One night feeling like twenty She is the best at it Because she got christ at the wheel Kn

Poem Rain

As raindrops dance upon the earth's terrain, They bring life to flowers, fields, and grain. Each droplet a messenger from the heavens above, Nourishing the land with its eternal love. The scent of petrichor fills the air, As rain cleanses and purifies with care. The world awakens, refreshed and anew, With every drop, a promise of life, it imbues. Rain's rhythm on rooftops, a lullaby, Serenading us to sleep as clouds drift by. We find solace in its gentle embrace, As it washes away worries, leavi

Shadows Within

In the depths of the soul, where shadows reside, A heavy shroud descends, a turbulent tide. A darkness that whispers, a relentless refrain, A battle unseen, a relentless, quiet pain. A weight on the heart, like a stone's somber song, A feeling that something's perpetually wrong. Days blend into nights, lost in shades of gray, The sun's gentle warmth kept at bay. But remember, dear heart, even in the darkest hour, There's a glimmer of hope, a hidden power. You're not defined by the struggles you

The Star - little cosmologist

A brief, jerking summation of the young heart pining for love - and the bitter resentment that grows when her love goes unrequited. Note that her enmity is focused on this elusive 'her', and the lover himself is portrayed as gentle and giving - a gross overstatement, Ladies and Gentlemen. @little.cosmo

Poem for my best

My Love " Dark as honey Not marketable ' Sweetly scarifies the throat Of love the syncopation Of counterpoint The upbeat beat of a generation Deliquescing A mode of being And I too fond relinquish My grasp While gasping my last And shod shoo away The clinging vine of a template Tawdry awry That seeks to expose

Eclipse of Dreams poem

Eclipse of DreamsIn twilight's hush where shadows play, A silver veil gives birth to day, While whispers of the night retreat, Soft echoes of the stars’ heartbeat. The moon, a sentinel so bright, Beckons dreams from depths of night, A dance of light on velvet sky, Where dreams and hope in silence lie.In this serene, ephemeral space, The world finds its tender grace, As dawn’s first blush begins to sweep, A promise in the daylight deep.Yet as the sun ascends its throne, The darkness turns to whisp

RED

Standing at the balcony You're just staring at the sky I can see the sadness and pain in your eyes I know you've been hurt countless of times Life flies One thing is certain, and the rest is lies In my room, I can hear  your screams and cries The flower that once has bloomed forever dies
