Transparency International's 2020 Corruption Perception Index ranks the country 146th place out of 180 countries.The public sectors conducted by the Government are the most corrupted sectors of the country. Anti Corruption Commission is formed in 2004, but is considered to be largely ineffective in investigating and preventing corruption because of governmental control over it.Anti Corruption Commission chairman has admitted that corruption is rampant in Bangladesh.
