High School Memories

It was the first day of high school, and Emily was feeling nervous. She had heard all sorts of stories about the tough teachers, the mean kids, and the piles of homework. As she walked through the crowded hallways, she felt like a small fish in a big pond. But then she spotted a friendly face – it was her neighbor, Jack. He had been in her class since kindergarten, and he gave her a smile and a wave. Emily felt a little better knowing that she had a friend in this new, unfamiliar world. As the d

WHEN A PICTURE TELLS A STORY

WHEN A PICTURE TELLS A STORY (A #throwback ) Looking at this picture, I can't help but smile because of the beautiful memories it gives. This is a picture of Thebeezybee while in primary school, 😁 at Murna Children School. I really can't remember much but this picture has a lot of stories of different persons. I can still remember Uncle Idris, my teacher and the names of some of my classmates; Zainab, Fatima, Mariam, Oluchukwu, Hajara, Tope, Bello, Hadiza, Helen,Evelyn, Peju, Chinazor,Obinna, R

Time Changes All Things

The first time I saw a Colour TV was in the 90s. Today, virtually everything is coloured. I've shared in this article, an interesting review of the journey from the first coloured broadcast in 1951 to the first colour television in Nigeria, bearing in mind that humans will always evolve, and if we don't give up, and focus more on solving our problems with our little steps of progress, nothing is impossible as Time changes all things.

People change

I'm taking my leave But the fragments, the remisiscents of the day I first came here remains Life was the bluest sky, changing into a darkest night I had spend crescent of my life in oblivion I wasn't the mould you wanted to carve Wasn't your canvas to paint I was a stranger in your space I was the ivy growing on every inch of your being My eyes were opened to your pain but was too far away to do anything I was the wild fire that goes out of control Burns the haven, the stars, the atoms of the tin

Echoes of love

Title: Echoes of Love Chapter 1: Reminiscing In the quaint town of Brookville, Sarah sat in her mother's old rocking chair, surrounded by the comforting embrace of memories. It had been a year since her mother's passing, yet her presence lingered in every corner of the house – in the scent of freshly baked cookies, in the warmth of the sunlit kitchen, in the gentle melody of her favorite piano piece echoing through the halls. As Sarah traced her fingers along the faded photographs adorning the w

FRAGRANCE OF TRANQUILITY

The poem is talking about the memories of the old days or the past where everything seems to be tranquil at its peak. People smile even after being hit or after facing comflict footings without any slam of war. The poem talks about union and smile at the reach of peace in stanza 2. Although we might by some chances face war but it has not stopped us from progressing in harmony. At the end the poet persona makes use of a suggestion and a wish–He wishes to find the old days where harmony lives in Tranquility. Read and enjoy more of having tranquility 💙

Daytime naps improve memory and cut the risk of heart attacks.

Scientists found that people who napped for 30 to 90 minutes had better word recall – which is a sign of good memory – than people who did not nap or who napped for longer than 90 minutes. People who napped for that golden 30 to 90 minutes were also better at figure drawing, another sign of good cognition. One theory explaining poor cognition in those who take longer naps: Resting more during the day may be a sign of poor quality nighttime sleep, according to Gamaldo. “In the study, naps longer than 90 minutes could have been called ‘a second sleep.’” This poor quality nighttime sleep – the kind that requires extra-long napping during the day – can lead to cognitive problems, she adds. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

Unforgettable memory of journey to Thailand

One of the most unforgettable experiences on a journey through Thailand is encountering the ethereal beauty of the northern region, particularly during the annual Yi Peng Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai. As dusk descends, the sky transforms into a canvas of twinkling lights as thousands of paper lanterns, illuminated by flickering candles, are released into the night. The festival, celebrated during the full moon of the twelfth lunar month, is a time of renewal and gratitude, symbolized by the ac

BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

They are like dews, whetting the appetite of my heart, Making me smile and laugh, I am glad that I have them. They came in phases of my life a baby, a teenager, a young adult and as an adult. I remember Looking into my mother's eyes as she sings and gives me my bath, Running out of the room at the sound of 'Daddy is home' Running into his arms as he lifts me up, How I felt I could touch the sky. Watching mummy come home with other babies, And the house smelling of new born baby, Watching my fath

Embracing Hope in the Future

The poem reflects on the uncertainty of the future but encourages us to embrace hope as we journey forward. It speaks of the challenges we'll face, such as climate change, but also of our ability to adapt and find new solutions. Technology will advance, but human connection will remain important. The poem concludes with a message of resilience and a call to face the future with a positive attitude.
