WoW Forever Guide: Hidden Items, New Builds, and Class Balance

A recent Blizzard interview revealed that WoW Forever may include items capable of changing how classes are played. The clearest example is the Cold Flame Sword, a melee weapon that deals additional damage to frozen targets. When used by a mage, this weapon could create a battle mage build that combines frost abilities with close-range attacks.

Blizzard explained that more undiscovered items may be hidden throughout the game. These items could influence class choices and encourage players to experiment instead of following established builds. The most important effects may not be visible until the equipment actually drops.

The interview also created discussion about possible shaman tank builds. A combination involving Way of Earth, taunt, and Spirit Weapons could give shamans an extremely high threat modifier. According to the discussion, this could produce a powerful threat tank with strong offensive potential.

A shaman with taunt could become a viable endgame tank, while a shaman without that ability might remain limited.
