A CALL FOR JUSTICE, FAIRNESS AND PEACE IN ABI LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The attention of concerned stakeholders, party faithfuls, and the peace-loving people of Abi Local Government Area has been drawn to the disturbing reports surrounding the outcome of the recent political process involving the aspiration of Hon. Enang Aboli.

It is alleged that the Chairman of Abi Local Government Council, Hon. Egbala Bassey, manipulated and diverted votes originally meant for Hon. Enang Aboli in favour of Hon. Joseph Ukata. Such actions, if not urgently addressed and corrected, may create deep dissatisfaction among supporters and loyal party members across the constituency.

Democracy thrives on fairness, transparency, and the true will of the people. Any attempt to undermine the collective decision of party faithfuls threatens the unity and stability of the party in Abi.

We therefore call on the appropriate party authorities and relevant stakeholders to immediately review and reverse every irregularity associated with the process in order to restore confidence, maintain peace, and prevent possible post-primary violence or political unrest in Abi Local Government Area.

The voice of the people must be respected. Justice must prevail over personal interests, and peace must remain our priority.

Let it be clearly stated that the people of Abi Local Government Area will not sit back and watch their collective mandate stolen through political manipulation, intimidation, or abuse of office. Any individual or group attempting to impose personal interests against the genuine choice of the people is dangerously provoking the anger and disappointment of loyal party supporters. Those responsible should immediately retrace their steps and allow justice to prevail, because any action capable of destabilizing the peace and unity of Abi will be strongly resisted through every legitimate democratic means available.
