NYCN Boki Chapter Officially Endorses Rt. Hon. Hilary Bisong for Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency Seat

The Boki Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has officially thrown its weight behind Hilary Bisong for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made public on Saturday, May 9, 2026, during an emergency stakeholders’ meeting held at Dorbarry Hotel, Okundi, where youth leaders and stakeholders from across Boki Local Government Area gathered to deliberate on the political future of the constituency.

The meeting was convened by the Coordinating Coordinator of NYCN Boki Chapter, Awa Peter, and witnessed the attendance of ward youth councilors and their executives, community youth chairmen, chapter executives, and other relevant stakeholders.

Following extensive deliberations, the youth body unanimously adopted Hilary Bisong as their preferred candidate for the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency seat, citing his leadership qualities, accessibility, and confidence in his ability to effectively represent the people at the National Assembly.

According to participants at the meeting, the endorsement reflects the growing desire among youths for purposeful representation and a leadership style that prioritizes development, inclusion, and grassroots engagement.

The decision by the NYCN Boki Chapter is seen as a major political boost for Bisong as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections in Cross River State.

Political observers believe the endorsement further highlights the increasing role of youth participation and grassroots mobilization in shaping the political direction of the constituency.
