_Five-Time Olympian Offiong Edem Begins Coaching Career in the USA_



The Ceo NaijaBlaseTv, Ettah Emmanuel O, celebrates Nigerian table tennis legend Offiong Edem as she embarks on a new journey as a coach at the Lonestar Table Tennis Academy in Austin, Texas. The five-time Olympian, who retired after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, brings over two decades of experience to the academy.

Table Tennis Academy expressed excitement over her arrival, calling her a "valuable addition" to their team. Edem, thrilled about the opportunity, shared on Facebook her decision to move to the US after retirement, highlighting her passion for coaching young talents.

“Austin, Texas, is where I find my peace. Coaching has been so rewarding, and soon we will be known and heard for our good deeds,” she wrote.  

Edem’s illustrious career includes representing Nigeria in five Olympic Games, multiple African and Commonwealth Games, and World Championships.

Her transition into coaching marks a new phase in her commitment to the sport. With her vast experience, she is expected to make a significant impact on developing young table tennis players at Lonestar Academy.
