SSA TO CROSS RIVER GOVERNOR SPORTS, ETA LAWRENCE, DONATES JERSEYS TO ROVERS FC TO BOOST TEAM MORALE

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Eta Lawrence, has once again demonstrated his unwavering support for sports development by donating a new set of jerseys to Rovers FC. The presentation took place on January 28, 2024, at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, marking a historic moment for the club.  

The blue and white jerseys, which reflect the official colors of Cross River State, were received with great excitement by the team. Mr. Lawrence, who has been a strong pillar of support for Rovers FC, stated that the donation was aimed at boosting the morale of the players as they continue their impressive campaign in the Nigeria National League (NNL) this season.  

"This gesture is to ensure that the team has a variety of jerseys to choose from for different matches," Mr. Lawrence remarked. "It is also my way of showing continued support for the club and encouraging them to strive for greater success."  

This is not the first time Mr. Lawrence has supported the team. His previous act of goodwill was redeeming a pledge he made to the team after their victory in a crucial match. His dedication and commitment to the club have made him a source of inspiration for the players, coaching staff, and management.  

In response to the generous donation, the Vice Chairman of Rovers FC, Mr. Etta Egbe, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, noting that it was the first of its kind in the club’s history. He praised Mr. Lawrence for his continuous support and prayed for God's blessings upon him.  

The team captain also extended gratitude on behalf of the players acknowledging the positive impact of Mr. Lawrence’s contributions on the team’s performance.  

With this latest support, Rovers FC remains motivated to continue their impressive run in the NNL, with hopes of securing promotion to the top tier of Nigerian football. The team and its supporters are optimistic that such encouragement will drive them to greater achievements in the league.
