ROVERS FC CLINCH 3-2 VICTORY OVER ABS FC IN KWARA IN NNL 2024/25 MATCH DAY 7

Rovers FC delivered a thrilling 3-2 victory over ABS FC in a captivating Nigeria National League (NNL) 2024/25 encounter on Saturday, January 25th, at the Kwara Township Stadium.

The match, which kicked off at 3:00 PM, was a showcase of resilience and attacking flair from both teams. ABS FC, playing on home soil, started strong but couldn’t withstand Rovers FC’s offensive onslaught.

The first goal came in the 30th minute when Tony Ayang opened the scoring for ABS FC, sending the home crowd into celebration. However, Rovers FC responded swiftly, leveling the score just nine minutes later with Omolara Owolabi finding the back of the net in the 39th minute.

In the second half, Owolabi  proved to be the star of the match, scoring his second goal in the 62nd minute to give Rovers FC the lead. ABS FC fought hard to get back into the game but couldn't break down Rovers' defense.

Despite a late surge, ABS FC’s efforts fell short, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of the visitors.

With this win, Rovers FC secured a crucial three points on the road, maintaining their strong form in the NNL. Omolara Owolabi’s brace and Tony Ayang’s earlier goal were the standout moments of the match.
