C’RIVER STATE MINISTRY OF SPORTS & CRS SPORTS COMMISSION HOLDS SOLEMN ASSEMBLY TO COMMIT 2025 TO GOD

In a significant show of faith and unity, the Cross River State Ministry of Sports Development and the Cross River State Sports Commission recently held a Solemn Assembly at the U. J. Esuene Stadium Calabar to commit the management, staff, athletes, and sports facilities into the hands of God as they embark on their mission for 2025.

The event, which aimed to usher in divine guidance and blessings for the new year, was a testament to the leadership's commitment to spiritual and moral values in the development of sports in the state.

The ceremony was facilitated by Hon. Agnes Atsu, the Commissioner of Sports, who underscored the importance of seeking divine direction in every aspect of the state's sports development.

Alongside her were key figures such as Mr. Samuel Egbala, the Permanent Secretary, and Mr. Moses Agbor, the Director of Sports. Cross River state sports commission. The event was further blessed by the presence of Pastor Bathelomew and Mrs. Sandra Oche of the Dunamis Int’l Gospel Church Centre who led the spiritual ministrations.

Pastor Bathelomew Oche delivered an inspiring sermon,  on the foundation for continued change, emphasizing the importance of dedication, discipline, and divine favor in achieving success in sports and other areas of life. 

He also offered powerful prayers for the athletes, staff, and the facilities that play a critical role in shaping the future of Cross River's sports community.

The solemn assembly not only marked a spiritual milestone for the sports sector in the state but also symbolized a collective commitment to uphold integrity, excellence, and accountability in the coming year. 

As Cross River State continues to position itself as a key player in Nigeria's sports landscape, the event reaffirmed the belief that with faith, hard work, and divine intervention, the state will achieve even greater heights in 2025.

This gathering served as an important reminder that the success of athletes, administrators, and the entire sports community transcends mere physical preparation, as it is equally reliant on spiritual grounding and moral fortitude.
