CRSLGSC  ENDS YEAR WITH THANKS GIVING SERVICE AT VOICE OF GOD CHRISTIAN MISSION CALABAR

The Cross River State Local Government Service Commission concluded the year with a Thanksgiving service at the Voice of God Christian Mission in Calabar. The event was organized to express gratitude for the Commission’s successful year, with Chairman Mr. Darlington B. Eyo, Dr. Carol Edem, Chief Inyang Nyong, Ojong Item Edward, Daniel Afong Ochui, Wokeyim Ofem Otu, Hon. Bridge Alina attended the service.

Mr. Eyo emphasized that the service was an opportunity to thank God for the Commission’s positive impact, noting that true Thanksgiving involves both gratitude and giving back. He quoted the biblical story of the healed leper who returned to thank God. Eyo also thanked Bishop Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu, the First Lady of Cross River State, for her spiritual guidance throughout the year.

Bishop Otu praised the Commission for prioritizing God in its work and expressed confidence that under Governor Prince Bassey Edet Otu’s leadership, the state would experience positive change, particularly in local government administration. She also thanked the Commission for its dedication to serving the people.

The service included scriptural teachings, intercessory prayers, and uplifting music. Following the service, a Gala Night was held, where Mr. Eyo introduced a quarterly "Happy Hour" initiative to support staff welfare and foster collaboration. The event, which also included community outreach to motherless homes and the less privileged, ended with cultural performances and goodwill messages, celebrating unity, faith, and progress in the state.
