In the Gothic Art Halloween countdown, today's featured artwork is called "Dance With Death". This picture is actually about embracing life. The angel of death floats behind the young dancer with his hands gently placed on her. He will be there one day to guide her journey to the next world. But for now this young woman dances the dance of life, made all the more precious by its finite nature, which she acknowledges by looks down at the skeletal hand on her shoulder.
