The game between Germany and Scotland served as the inaugural match of the Euro 2024 held at the Allianz Arena on Saturday (June 15, 2024) early morning WIB. The home team took a commanding 3-0 lead in the first half of the match. Florian Writz, Jamal Musiala, and Kai Havertz were the heroes, each scoring a goal. Scotland had to play with 10 men after Ryan Porteous received a red card just before halftime.

Initially, the referee awarded a penalty, but after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) footage, the penalty was canceled as it was clear Musiala fell outside the penalty box. The referee then awarded a free kick to Germany.

Kai Havertz stepped up to take the free kick for Germany. Havertz's shot was saved by Gunn. Despite not scoring, Havertz celebrated his effort enthusiastically.

 The referee pointed to the spot for Germany in the 43rd minute. Ilkay Guendogan was fouled by Ryan Porteus as he attempted to score from a loose ball in front of the goal. Porteus was subsequently sent off by the referee for his foul on Guendogan. Scotland had to continue the match with only 10 men.

 Kai Havertz stepped up to take the penalty for Germany. The Arsenal player executed his task perfectly and scored the third goal for Die Mannschaft. This goal gave Germany a 3-0 lead before halftime.
