6th Julio's 564.8, Eke, Ugwu, Noir. Somewhere in Akanne Eke.

The young man whom we saw in the previous chapter is called Achebe Melas, he is Twenty one years of age son of retired veteran Achebe Pilos who has began his journey with his son on the way to the Triangle. Achebe Senior is a smallish man that is 58 years of age, he retired as a Warrant Chief, he has his own fair share of battles an scars but today he is a proud man as he is getting his son enrolled in the Military.

It took them four days to reach the Capital of Noir as they find their way to the Triangle while Melas is awed by the urban city that is Nexia as it is his first time being there, they arrive at the Triangle Barracks, Rangers Field, Nexia they alight from the Taxi and Pilos catches sight of an old friend of his who he helped get into the Military years ago a junior called Ugochukwu Stanit, who is currently a Warrant Chief himself at Forty years of age. Ugo is a fair, tall man who looks youthful like he's Thirty two and he is 6 feet 1 inch tall.

The two both shake hands as Melas gathers their luggage as they all head to Ugo's house in the Barracks and are entertained by his wife who is just Thirty five years, Pilos and Stanit discuss while Melas scans the living room naively.

Stanit- [Drops his cup of Nmanya(Palm wine)] That's it Senior(Pilos) we aren't well represented in the ranks the Dok and Ki have more representatives as higher-ups in the force we only have One hundred and forty five superiors that are Roost.

Pilos- That's very good we have increased.

Stanit- The Doks have Eight hundred and ninety three.

Pilos- What?!

Stanit- [Chuckles] The Ki have Two thousand three hundred and eight five!

Pilos- [Shocked] Higher-ups!! What are the Roost doing?! What's wrong with our people.

Stanit- [Sips his Nmanya] Even the Pijon have One hundred and forty three superiors.

Pilos- [Shocked] Since when did those pacifists pass our people?

Stanit- You know we Roost? We don't like sharing turf with one another. See the Doks, Kis, Pijons, Duvs and the rest they move in groups we just like to move on our own I'm even shocked that Melas wants to take after you? I thought like every Roost spawn he'll want to make his name elsewhere.

Pilos- [Laughs] Melas is in a competition with Hugo Zolom.

Stanit- [Eyes widen] Hugo Zolom? [He breaks into laughter]

Pilos- [Laughing]

Melas- [Pissed] What's so funny?!!

Stanit- Which impossible feat have you achieved in your life?

Pilos shrugs

Melas- I got hit by a Truck and I didn't bleed

Pilos nods

Stanit- [Plain faced] Well that's something but compared to Hugo Zolom [Laughing] That's nothing.

Melas- Wait till you see me in the field?!

Stanit- You'll have to pass the entrance exam mind you Hugo is in the advanced nation Hue or as we call it here Hueland packed with hyper intelligent people! Kai! The Huemen are something else!!

Pilos- Mhn! Hugo left that class top he scored Five hundred over five hundred.

Stanit- [Squints eye] I thought it was Five hundred and twelve?

Melas- [Slams the Table] That's impossible!!

Stanit- [Crosses leg and gulps his Nmanya and relishes it] Ahhhh! Hugo is the impossible.

Pilos nods

Melas- Then I have to defy the impossible.

Stanit- By discussing with us instead of reading? [Refills his cup] Good luck! You have a book to catch!!

Melas- stands up and leaves in anger

Stanit- As we were saying....

And with that Melas began studying. Now you must know that Melas was never the brightest bulb in his class academically speaking, he's a genius on his own ground, the smartest in his class but his grades never showed it since he always came fourth, fifth or worse sixteenth he always lost to Rabika who came third and atimes even first what you have to know is that books were not his 100% strength but trust Melas he'll give it his best even if it's not his best.

Melas- I swear this time I'll break the record this ain't Secondary school.

14th, Julios 564.8, West of the Triangle, Nexia, Noir

Melas is seen standing in front of an Eight storey building Eighty Seven rooms long as many young people, candidates are seen loitered about some buying snacks and treats from food vendors, other's reading while some were entering or leaving cars

Melas stands panting

Ugochukwu Stanit- Melas!

Melas yelps

Ugochukwu Stanit- [Shocked and chuckles] Exam fever already? Anyways the exams start by Nine your father had me go for some little runs [He rose up a sheet with the answers to the exam they were to write]

Melas- [Refuses] No if I do that I'll never look Hugo in the eye! He did it with his brain!!

Stanit- [Shocked and cries] Bwaah! [He shakes his head] How sure are you that...

Melas- [Cuts in] Hugo has carried out projects solo for the Military he has invented methods, devices and technology that shocked the world

Stanit- [In Roost Tongue] My son! [Eyes widened] You're not Hugo!!

The bell rings

Melas- There goes the bell I'm sorry but I must go

Stanit looks hopelessly at the boy as he leaves and like the rest heads into the hall

Melas- [To himself] I can do this! I can do this!!

Inside the hall a now confused Melas looks at his paper in shock as he drives his hand on his head

Melas- [To himself] Why didn't I take the paper?! Expo! Expo!! [Looking left and right] No one is out to help a brother [Sighs] Not even a cute girl to open her note for me [Sighs] Daddy and Mr Stanit will kill me for not taking the Expo! I have to do it! I have to do it!! Wait all these look familiar in a way [His eyes widen] Hey they seem bent and twisted in a way [He studies the paper] I understand it! [He chuckles and begins to write] This one! And this one!! Not this one!! But I know this one!!

With that Melas begins to write what he knows and we leave him with that.
