EMPOWERING THE FUTURE: YOUTH FIND HOPE IN THE PEOPLE-FIRST AGENDA

Published by: Ettah Emmanuel O.
Mr. Emmanuel Iwhobe, a member of the Contact/Mobilization Committee of the APC State Campaign Council in the last general election, has made a vow.
He stated that he will not contest the position of Governor in Cross River State if His Excellency, Prince Bassy Otu, fails to deliver on his "People First" agenda as promised during his inaugural speech, especially in the area of Youth Empowerment. Mr. Iwhobe made this declaration while addressing some youth from Obudu in Calabar recently.
He emphasized that this commitment is a way to address youth restiveness in the state, highlighting that good governance is a social contract between the rulers and the governed. He stressed that it is the sustainability of good governance that fosters youth development in society.
Mr. Emmanuel also pointed out that the infrastructure deficit in Cross River North has exacerbated the situation, as meaningful investment cannot occur in the absence of basic social amenities.
He called upon all leaders from the constituency to awaken from their dreams and take swift action to restore hope to their constituents.
