The main theme in the novel is (FGM),the story talks about two women, Taiyo and Ressian,one being the eldest and the latter being the youngest.Ressian as the main protagonist in the novel undergoes ups and downs just to get a chance to pertake her university education.Due to their family being financially unstable in the city,their father relocates in their new house in the village where they are forced to go through the knife and forced marriage.
