Amina's Dream

Amina’s aspiration to become a photographer has been a constant desire, yet life’s challenges have hindered her from realizing this dream. As the sole child responsible for her aging mother, Amina faces numerous obstacles.  Struggling to make ends meet through freelance gigs, she finds it challenging to cover basic expenses, let alone care for her ageing  mother. The financial constraints also limit her ability to invest in equipment and courses essential for her learning and skill development in photography. She often feels discouraged when surrounded by people who share her interests, as the noticeable gap in skill and knowledge makes her feel invisible and undervalued. The majority of her time is devoted to caring for her aging mother, who serves as her pillar of strength. Amina had to slowly let go of her passion for photography. Lost in her thoughts, Amina was unaware that her mother observed her from a distance. Approaching Amina, she encouraged her not to abandon her dreams but to seek guidance through prayer. She expressed gratitude and pledged not to disappoint her mother. However, these words proved insufficient to reignite her passion for photography.  

Amina’s freelancing challenges persisted until one day, while casually perusing a newspaper, she stumbled upon news of an upcoming art exhibition. Despite initial hesitations, she applied and, fortunately, received an invitation. During the event, she seized the chance to meet a renowned artist who willingly shared his own journey, inspiring Amina with his beginnings. He continued, “Harness your strength to triumph in every endeavor. My journey was shaped by hard work, consistency, and unwavering dedication. Begin with the end in mind, and don’t let temporary challenges derail your dreams.” 

Concluding, he remarked, “Life hands us lemons, and making lemonade can be challenging. Amina, your destiny lies in your hands. You have the power to decide whether your cherished dreams come to an end or thrive. After this inspiring speech, Amina’s eyes welled up with tears, unable to fully convey her gratitude. Instantly, her passion reignited, and she fearlessly pursued her dreams, leading to a flow of opportunities in her way.”
