IS THE YOUNG BEWILDERED GENERATION GETTING CHARGED?

A man was killed and burned to ashes in Mkunguni, Kilifi County a fortnight ago with the allegations of being a witchcraft. The allegation rose after the departure of his daughter for a foreign job in Dubai. As reported the deceased man was given this allegation by his by then divorced and 2nd wife. This happened a month after their daughter landed for the job. Seemingly the neighbors took it to bank of their minds that that was all about the money that the daughter cashed in and the ratios didn’t go as the woman suggested they would be. A week later over phone calls the dad (deceased) called and informed his daughter of the allegations made upon him. The area has been known for its tenderness of executing old people who were accused of this tittle. Being concerned for her father’s security the daughter promised to build a “permanent house” that could offer necessary safety in case of any motive against him. Responding to us in the vicinity was one of great friends who was actually the last person he spoke with that day before being murdered he had this to say…”my waist is going to eat me up”. Adding was that he also had quarrels with his son over land that he excluded for himself during the stating of will and inheritance. Surprisingly an unmentioned sources reported to police that the sons could have taken part in the action as the no one was allowed to yell out for help for they were threatened by the man’s son that in doing so one would end up joining the old man in execution. Fun fact about life is that regardless of any happenings it will always get going on. Today I’m young and energetic but tomorrow is another day that we continually age up. We as young today tomorrow we’ll be the aged in the society what if we the world comes round and we are called these “tittles”. Not to put a finger on anybody but we are a way far behind from the “VISION 2030” we call out. Public execution famously “mob justice” was so pronounce that the government called it unethical but are we ethically enough to be called so? Young people with a lot of potentials being eroded in the streets cheaply. Some of us in one way or another missed the opportunity to be well modeled to be called ethically upright but I believe we are never late the question is who is there to salvage us. We are looking towards to a society with a greater focused young age full of innovations and intellectual brains to bring as the “2030” we dream for but this call upon for a mass party participation. The government has been on the up front to fight violence but it’s dawning to be futile indeed we are to change to get changed. In summary I this is an appeal to all who can make a change to change and also to change those who can and are ready to change.
