This year's orientation that took place on the 15th of February, 2024   for 2023/2024 Batch of students was very impressive and commendable. This was not unconnected to the effective planning and strategic implementation process. 

Also, the students who were the greatest beneficiaries happily graced  the event. Heads of  Departments were in attendance to sensitize the students on various programs in their respective departments.

It is interesting to note that the Head of the Ivory Tower, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, made appearance at the event,  even as it was rightly observed that  her coming was very historic and value addition to the orientation exercise. Worthy of note was the presence of the  Deputy Vice- Chancellor,  Academic , Prof. Angela Oyo-Ita, at the event. She addressed the students on effective study strategy, her presentation was very insightful.

 In another development, eminent resource persons;  Renowned Prof. Alice Asim, Assoc. Prof. Alexander Timothy, among others   took turns to demystify some concepts and contents as well as enlighten the students on certain negative tendencies that are inimical to their growth and the University. 

In fact, the synergistic attitude of staff at the Directorate was legendary .Without mincing words, the program was knowledge packed and very rewarding.

Our indefatigable Director, this success story was feasible because of your  resoluteness and result oriented disposition Let it be on record that your performance in this year's outing was excellent. 

We rejoice with you,  and pray that this stupendous feat you have attained in a short time be sustained.
