A blind girl and her dog were walking down the street. The girl was using a cane to feel her way and the dog was leading her. The dog would stop and sniff things and the girl would follow. Suddenly, the dog stopped and the girl ran into a wall. The girl was hurt and started to cry. A man saw what happened and asked the girl if she was okay. The girl said she was blind and couldn't see. The man asked the girl if she wanted him to help her. The girl said yes. The man took the girl's hand and led her to a bench. The man asked the girl what her name was. The girl told the man her name was Sarah. The man introduced himself to Sarah and asked her how she got around. Sarah told the man that she used a cane to feel her way and her dog to lead her. The man asked Sarah if she wanted him to help her find her way home. Sarah said yes. The man took Sarah's hand and led her home. Sarah's parents were happy to see her and thanked the man for helping her. Sarah's parents asked the man his name. The man told Sarah's parents his name was Joe. Sarah's parents asked Joe if he wanted to stay for dinner. Joe said yes. Sarah's parents thanked Joe for helping their daughter and invited him to dinner. Joe accepted their invitation and stayed for dinner. Joe and Sarah became good friends and would often go for walks together.
