Vanessa walked slowly towards where the bicycles are packed looking exhausted. She leaned on her bicycle, close her eyes and which she was actually leaning on her car but was interrupted by the shaking of bicycles. She looked back to a guy trying to free out his bicycle but seem stucked. She drew hers closer for him to be able to get it out only to find out her bicycle has been chained together with the guy's bicycle. The two of them looked at each other,"who did this",they both asked at the same time. The guy turned away.

"shit!",he cursed in-between his teeth.

"I know who did this",they both said at the same time and looked at each other again

""Who?", they said together.

"are you trying to frustrate me or what?",Collins fumed,

"you are the one trying to piss me off", Vanessa fumed,

"seriously?,I even met you here",

"so..?,does that mean I did it?",

"hey guys!, what's going on here",Max walked up to them,"Collins you are still around?",

Collins looked so pissed and shows Max what's happening.Max chuckled.

"is this funny?", Vanessa said feeling irritated.

Max looked at her,'what an attractive lady',he thought.

"this is definitely Mary's handwork,she must have thought this is mine, our bicycles look alike you know",

"so what are we going to do now?", Vanessa asked sounding so angry,

"It's easy,ride together",Max said nonchalantly,

"WHAT!!?"they both exclaimed and looked at each other.

          Collins was outside the hospital busy jerking the padlock but was all abortive. Getting pissed, he looked around to see if anyone was watching but no one. He squat between the bicycles,his black Iris turned to gold and in a flash,the padlock came off. He smirked and his eyes changed back to normal. He stood up and packed the bicycles properly,then proceed into the hospital to get Vanessa.

           Vanessa sat beside her mother who has been unconscious for years. Though Vera breathes well and she regain consciousness every midnight but lose it every time she sees the light. She could not tell how many years she has been in the hospital but she recollect her daughter's name for sure. Vanessa held her mother's hand,"mum don't you think it's time you hold my hands also?, don't you think your daughter has missed you so much?,I need my mum's special meals,and protect me from injections",she said with a broken heart.

Collins was moved by her words,he said and coughed slightly alerting Vanessa. She quickly straighten up and cleared her throat.

"still the same?",

"nope",

She nodded and take another look at her mother before heading out with Collins.

"let's ride home together", Collins said all of a sudden. He suddenly felt the urge of being friends with her.

"why?",

"I always ride home all by myself, but I quite enjoy it when I ride with you",

She rolled her eyes,"your choice.

"the woman in the hospital,is that your mum?", Collins asked on their way home,

"yes, and am her only hope",

"why?, what's wrong?",

"that's none of your business",

"you can't say,I might be of help",

"there's no help,she can't be cured, she's been there for years.... just don't ask",

Seeing her reluctance,she seems to have lost hope. Collins wondered what the illness could be that there won't be a solution. They got to a duplex building. "here we are", Vanessa announced as they got to her home.

"Ok, thanks",

"For what?",

"For letting me ride home with you",

She nodded,"you are welcome", she said and made to leave.

"don't you think I should know your name,well mine is..",

"Collins",

He was surprised,"how do you know",

"your friend called you that earlier back in school",

"ho!,so what's yours?",

"it's not necessary",she said smirking and went inside not ready to listen to anything else. 

"really?ok",Collins said and ride away to get something at the nearest store before going home.

Vanessa's mouth was covered from behind immediately she entered the living room. She was taken aback and began to struggle with the unknown man,she hit him hard in his tummy with her elbow and quickly moved away when he grip loosen.

"Dad?!!", She looked at him and the injection in his hand. She was hurt,angry and feel disappointed at the same time."why dad?", She yelled at him,

"It's for your safety Vanessa",

"but I don't want",

"you have to take it, it's to protect you",

"will you stop dad?, protect me from what?. Infact I don't think am the one that needs the so called life saving injection",she yelled as tears streamed down her cheeks."I think it's mum, she has been there for years and yet you claim to have a life saving injection. If you should inject me again, I'm gonna report to the police", she said and stormed out of the house angrily. Immediately,Paul picked up his phone and make a call.

"Beth!Beth!!,Beth wait",

"wait for what?",

"you can't disobey Lord",Coly said worriedly,

"I can't anymore Coly,we are powerful creatures, like the Powerful being on earth, but why do we have to hunt secretly?",

"I think Lord has his own reasons",

"I am destined to be a brave vampire, not a coward",

"I support Beth",

"you can't do this, you should be convincing her also",

"I support Beth too", Cynthia and Mark joined Beth and before he could say any other thing, they flashed away.

 They appeared at a playing ground and saw four kids playing. They looked at one another, looking excited. Their long canine teeth became visible with their claws getting ready to attack their preys. Just then,the kids began to fight and a young school girl rushes to them.

"hey stop",she separated them,"don't you know fighting is bad,when we fight each other how are we to promote peace and harmony. You beautiful kids should learn how to understand one another and become one so we can fight the demons together,okay?",

The kids nodded.

"are the demons the vampires?",a kid asked,

"yes,the vampires", Vanessa replied,"when we become one , we'll be able to put an end to the vampires existence and also be saved from unwanted injections"

"Yes ma'am",they replied in unison

"now go home,run",she said and chuckled as the kids ran. By this time,the vampires were so pissed. Vanessa stood up and adjusted her backpack and turned to go back home but fear gripped her as she saw the angry looking vampires. Without having another thought,she took to get heels and ran as fast as she can but soon got to a place with no any other directions. She looked around nervously but it was now too late as the vampires surrounded her. She was moved to tears as she sees death staring at her in the eyes but just then ,she felt someone leaned at her back. Collins was on his way back home when he scent the presence of the vampires and trail it to her. Vanessa looked back and was surprised to see him, holding two knives. Before she could say anything,the vampires attacked. Within a twinkle of an eye, Collins killed Cyndia and she turned to dust. On looking back,he saw two other two vampires bit her at her neck and wrist. Collins ran to her rescue and kicked Beth off, but before he could do anything else ,they flashed away.

Vanessa stood up holding her neck. Collins rushed to her,"are you ok?",he asked, though she didn't look like she's in pain which is unusual.

"yes, but what are you doing here?",

"that's not necessary",

"thanks for saving my life",

Collins pulled her closer to take a closer look at her neck and found the signs of the bite. He knows alot about vampires.

"are you feeling dizzy?",

"not rea... llly",she held her neck and started groaning in pain,

"hey! hey!! hey!!!",Collins called panicking. Black blood started streaming out of the holes of the bite,both her neck and hand. She was neither consciousness or unconscious as she was seriously groaning in pain. She last thing she could remember is Collins carrying her in his arms.

He flashed to her house with his power but no one was around but met the key at the key point. He opened it and took her to one of the rooms he guessed would be hers and dropped her on the bed.

Collins was confused as he has never witnessed this before but he knew once a victim get bitten and didn't die,then he or she would turn to a vampire.

"but I can't kill her,am not sure what's going on and she also have a sick mother",

He was so confused but he has to do something, he quickly closed all the windows,ran out and locked the doors taking the keys away with him. He did that in case she later turned to a vampire,she will become weak if she didn't get any blood to drink and he will check up on her later hopefully things didn't get out of hands.

"didn't I warned you",Lord fumes,

"we're sorry",Beth and Mark said with their head bowed,

"fight each other till one of you died or you both get killed",he ordered without blinking an eye and relax on his red throne.

Beth and Mark looked at each other,they both had no choice but to obey the order. The other vampires watched as they fought. After some minutes,there was a winner. Mercilessly,Mark was killed. A vampire then came forward,

"this should serve as lesson to others,the Lord has only shown mercy, any other person who disobey the order would suffer worst consequence",

"Our loyalty remains to you!!!",they said in unison.
