My grandpa would always carry his bible call me to the sitting room and emphasize on that part of the Bible, I never listened. Just like when I got tattos and piercings he didn’t complain, he didn’t shout, he just read all the verses and that always pissed me off, I didn’t care about the world, I just wanted to find happiness, soft life not a life filled with sapa (meaning when someone doesn’t have money). I called him Pa Amóó.

 He didn’t force me to church but he read all what was taught, just yesterday, that I wish I could go back in time, reverse the day and hug pa Amóó and assure him I loved him. I was meant to hug him and not stab him, while he prepared the usual Amálá (yam flour) for both of us, even after he lost all his four kids, my parents been kidnapped, me dropping out of school, he still loved me and I just felt he was too good for all the sufferings he faced in life. Most of humans Don’t express gratitude for the little they have.

I heard a knock, I walked towards the door, opening the door to see the guys people didn’t like, the guys in black uniform, the police.

“Where is the corpse, and how did it happen?” the bald fat man asked.

“Take me and bury him In a good place”.
