The poem "Enemies of Democracy" critically looks at the key players that are at the forefront of dismantling the peace of nations and shattering the dreams of the masses who look up greatly to these leaders. It is worth noting that, both the politicians and ordinary citizens can play a pivotal role in the destruction of democracy. But at the height of it is the politicians.

With a wineless intoxication of sad realities

Of a lost cause_ I glare with discern like a bimbo

   Well orchestrated by enemies of democracy

Living pollutants of the minds of loafers

  Too skilled in dismantling the sacred constitution

Who constantly dwells on empty stomach of destitution

And filled with baked lies of empty promises

They would day in and out magestically visit the hungry mouths

To falsely and shamelessly make promises till thy kingdom come never address

With nothing to show after failed office tenure

The honour rests on getting a bag of rice to fool the forgetful when election is at the corner

To complement four wasteful years of self enrichment

At the expense of improvishment for the undying loyalists
