 Last night, on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, at 7pm, the University of Calabar Radio, 103.5fm Edutainment Station, hosted an impactful episode of "Campus Connect" that delved into the pressing issue of school fees increase and suspension. The lively discussion featured students from off-campus and on-campus who actively engaged through calls, messages, and participation.

Radio Presenter and Host, Senator Patience Bestman, led the dialogue with esteemed guest speakers, including the Students Union Government UNICAL President, UNICAL Senate President and the Director of Information from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, UNICAL, who served as the Immediate Past SUG UNICAL Vice President, Comrade Obasi Chinasa Juliet, Chief Press Secretary by name Cynthia Chinenye Maduekwe popularly called CyanahPEN, representing as a Neutral Student, provided valuable insights.

1. EXAMINING THE REALITY OF SCHOOL FEE INCREMENTS VERSUS FEE SUSPENSION:

   This emphasized the need for a balanced perspective, suggesting a comprehensive financial analysis to determine the necessity of fee adjustments. The strategic answer involves transparent discussions with stakeholders to assess the impact on both students and the institution.

   Students are advised to explore scholarships, part-time work, and financial aid options. Rapid positive solutions included creating a centralized platform for accessing information on resources and conducting financial literacy workshops.

   Strategies for generating revenue included partnerships, grants, alumni engagement, and exploring online courses. The way forward involves exploring industry partnerships, fundraising campaigns, and optimizing existing resources efficiently.
