The curtains open to the kitchen of Vinay and Kalyani Sharma, which is both immaculate and modern. It has a false ceiling and is stacked up with all kinds of cutlery. Mrs. Kalyani is seen preparing drinks for her and her husband before Ram Dayal enters.

Ram Dayal: Ma’am, if you do not mind me asking, what are you making?

Mrs. Kalyani: I am making a sharbat for myself and Vinay.

Ram Dayal: Let me prepare it, ma'am. You should go and rest. You must be tired.

Mrs. Kalyani (irritated): Gosh! Why do you have to interfere in everything? I am preparing it as an excuse to get some private time with my husband. For heaven’s sake, please let me have that.

Ram Dayal (feeling embarrassed): I am extremely sorry ma'am. Please continue. I will do something else.

Mrs. Kalyani: Yeah, thank you very much.

Ram Dayal (To himself and the audience): That is weird. She is usually nicer to me. She must be having a bad day.
