These images are created using a technology called DeepDream, which Google released in 2015, which uses a convolutional neural network (CNN) to find and improve the patterns in the images by overprocessing them. originally designed to automatically classify images, detecting faces and other patterns in them, but it was discovered that if this process were reversed (the neural network weights are kept fixed and the input is adjusted), it could generate psychedelic and surreal results.
