Atiku and Tinubu spar about an alleged plot to subvert the judiciary during the presidential electio
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) nominee for president, and President Bola Tinubu are at odds over an alleged scheme to rig the upcoming election at the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Tinubu's party, allegedly threatened Atiku, a former vice president, in a statement released on Saturday in Abuja by his media office, with the intent of intimidating the judges into not upholding justice in the ongoing presidential election dispute.
The APC and Mr. Tinubu, though, have denied the accusations.
Conflict in Court
Atiku, who finished second in the presidential vote on February 25, is pleading with the Presidential Election Petition Court to annul Mr. Tinubu's victory due to purported electoral fraud.
