United States considers Advocate Rusere's concern over Zimbabwe's 2023 elections

The United Nations Human Rights Office, OHCHR, has considered Zimbabwe’s Advocate Talent Rusere’s concern over Zimbabwe’s recurrence of disputed elections and increasing the probability that Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections will be supervised by the United Nations international body. The OHCHR said this Rusere had placed a detailed report of voter intimidation and massive coercion linked to Emerson Mnangagwa’s ZANU PF party. Ahead of the 30 July poll, Liz Throssell, OHCHR spokesperson, told the press that, the UN staff could not verify the reports. Rusere an ally to Nelson Chamisa one of the contenders in the 2023 presidential race told the United Nations that he would not allow Zimbabwe to have peace if the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission couldn’t be disbanded before elections.
