Sad poem

In the shadows of my heart, a melancholy sigh, A poem of sadness, I shall now imply. A tale of sorrow, woven with woe, Where tears cascade, unstoppable flow. Like a fading star, my spirit grows weak, Embracing sadness, with every breath I speak. The weight on my shoulders, heavy with despair, As I wander through life, consumed by care. A broken smile, no solace can it trace, Echoing laughter, now a distant embrace. The world around me, cloaked in shades of gray, A constant reminder of the joys t

Little Red Bird 🐦

Red bird, small and spry, Perched on window, pecking high. Tinted pane, it strains to see, A world beyond, so wild and free. But still it stays and taps with care, A faithful friend, so debonair.

Poem: short

A piece of jerk Following around your work. So irritating That someone monitors your work, Moves and successes And you feel their stare. And glare. Well, who cares? I live my life the way I feel. Not bothered by what you assume of me. Cause assumption is not always the truth For I know my own reasons for actions I make.

I DO NOT LOVE EXCEPT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU (POEM)

I do not love you except because I love you; I go from loving to not loving you, From waiting to not waiting for you My heart moves from cold to fire. I love you only because it's you the one I love; I hate you deeply, and hating you Bend to you, and the measure of my changing love for you Is that I do not see you but love you blindly. Maybe January light will consume My heart with its cruel Ray, stealing my key to true calm. In this part of the story I am the one who Dies, the only one, and I w

Poem

Life Life is a journey we all must take, Take each step, don't hesitate. Hesitate not, for time won't wait, Wait too long, and you'll be late. Late for dreams that you should chase, Chase them now, don't leave a trace. Trace your path, embrace the pace, Pace yourself, enjoy the race. Joseph Sambian

Poem that's you love

BENEATH THE STARS:the poem Beneath the stars so bright and far, A world of dreams, a world of stars, The night sky stretches far and wide, A canvas painted by the tide. The moon shines down upon the land, A gentle light, a guiding hand, The trees stand tall, the grass is green, A peacefulness that can't be seen. The crickets chirp, the owls take flight, The world is alive, a symphony at night, The wind whispers secrets in my ear, A mystery to be revealed, my dear. The stars above, they twinkle b

A glimpse of nostalgia

Once in a rainy field The wet grass and the scent it yield Over the horizon of clouds and grey The mountains show yet too shy to play The buzzing streets and the sound it makes And the trucks so fast they can't press the breaks Standing there near an empty chair I saw her running with rain drops on her hair She aranged her looks and lovely dress And I catched a glimpse of beauty on her mess As she looked at me with gentle eyes I stared away yet her beauty never lies As the bus honked, stopped an

Poem for my dieing dog

Poem for my dieing dog In the twilight of your life, you shine so bright, A loyal friend, my guiding light. With every wag, and every bark, You left an everlasting mark. Through fields we ran, in joy and glee, You were always there, right next to me. Now as you rest, in peaceful grace, Memories of our love, I'll always embrace. Your eyes, so gentle, your spirit so kind, A bond so strong, it's hard to leave behind. Though your time on Earth is drawing near, Know that I'll always hold you dear. As

I am always deeply moved by the beauty and resilience of people with black skin.

In the tapestry of ebony hues, A symphony of grace and resilience, The people of ebony skin, A portrait of strength and brilliance. Their souls adorned with rich history, Stories etched in every line and curve, Through struggles and triumphs, They radiate a beauty that preserves. From the rhythm of their laughter, To the wisdom in their eyes, Their spirit dances with resilience, Underneath vast African skies.

Mother

A title to hold with grace A role to fill with care A heart to love without a trace A spirit strong and fair A soul that knows no bounds A mind that sees beyond A hand that holds and never frowns A voice that sings a lullaby A smile that lights the way A face that shines with love each day A mother, you are all of this and more The best there is, the best there's ever been I love you more than words can say And I am so grateful to be your child

BEAUTY OF NATURE (A POEM)

Look at nature’s beauty like you’ll view a dainty. See the glistening night’s stars as sweet sparks on the eyes. What a bliss in my heart watching a penguin sit! Like a fishing bobber, stands a seal with blubber. It’s fun seeing fountains flowing down the mountains, And casting their fluid bodies into the deep valleys. Great God of creation, your love floods my nation, Reflecting Your power, and radiating Your wonder. Greater glory would be, for all the saints to see. Faces would ever glow, thou

Alone, by Edgar Allan Poe

In Alone, Poe reflects upon a life experienced as an emotional outsider. The narrator's experience of perceiving life and emotions differently to others in Edgar Allen Poe's Alone, has led to him feeling isolated and here he is questioning why he sees things so differently.
