Next week, Big week for Matheus Nunes?

Matheus Nunes has found his life in Manchester a little bit of a mixed outcome. The Portuguese midfielder has currently withdrawn from the national squad through injury, but is expected to be fit pending assessment, he has struggled to force himself into Pep's thoughts for the big games wity the Spanish manager having critisized his first touch and thought process in midfield just after the first training session. However, the Guardiola would be the first to admit that Nunes is a young(25), raw and exciting talent that just requires a little bit of polishing.

Nunes has impressed in all his appearances for the Cityzens so far bar one, Wolves (A), showing his dribbling skills and flair, registering an assist and a drawing penalty. Most fans are excited to see what the future holds for the midfielder.

Next week could be his chance to break into Pep's main XI as he is not expected to start vs Liverpool (H) at the weekend but may start in the UCL vs Leipzig (H). Although an opportunity may as well present itself in the form of; Rodri is one yellow card away from suspension in the Premier League, no trust in Kalvin Phillips from the boss and with John Stones and Mateo Kovacic out through injury, Guardiola may have no other option but to turn to the portuguese midfielder.
