Review: I picked this book up from my local library and liked it so much I purchased a copy of my own. There are ami animals and a cat bed as well as blanket and clothes patterns.

Review: There are a great variety of useful projects; with instructions written out instead of shown in charts, although there’s a section explaining reading of charts as well. I’m happy with this book. The edition I ordered uses U.S. terminology, so that is a definite plus for me (the other edition has UK terminology). See photo to order the right ISBN if you want the U.S. edition.

Review: This book came recommended to me as one of the best and one that I should definitely have in my collection. Once I found it online I hesitated to order a hardcopy for my library or buy the kindle version. I have a number of other crochet books online and I really like how portable they are for me to read the sections or look at the patterns on my laptop or phone anywhere else that I'm at or going to.

But this kindle version is not up to par. It does not have the normal kindle features. I cannot search on a word to quickly find an area of the book. I cannot go to the table of contents and click to the chapter of interest. I cannot bookmark pages. That means I cannot bookmark those patterns I want to come back to later. I cannot highlight and take notes on important sections that I want to later recall.

DK, I really hope this is just a temporary situation having to due with just launching the online version. I still really need those Kindle standards. And thus far I am really disappointed with the deployment.

That being said for those interested in the content of the book, so far it is great and I'm looking forward to studying it more.

Review: The Kindle version on the computer is okay. I was hoping for more like other reviewers have said. However an advanced crocheter might be fine with the Kindle version.

I counted the Projects in the table of contents section and there were 59 projects. I guess if you add the Technique section with a lot of edgings, you can get the 80 projects.

The book and patterns would be great for beginners and intermediate crocheters. There are a few that advanced might like, including the easier ones for quick gifts and projects to make. There are a lot of information on the tools that CAN be used in crochet, but a beginner might want to look or ask around what are the basics to make a project in the book, reviewing the project instructions for help as well.

Love all the color pictures, tips and techniques it has.
