Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou, heavyweights. Few people alive know more about heavyweight power punching than Iron Mike, but not everyone is totally convinced that the Cameroonian-French 37-year-old has got what it takes to mix it with Fury.

TNT Sports Box Office will continue to offer both subscribers and non-subscribers pay-per-view access to some of the most exciting events in the calendar, and we got underway with a bang with Spence Jr. v Crawford — which was one of the most hotly anticipated fights for a generation.

Also live on TNT Sports, Liam Davies took on Jason Cunningham in their all-British blockbuster affair at the Telford International Centre.

Then on August 18, an entertaining fight between Dennis ‘The Menace’ McCann and Ionut Baluta ended in a majority draw after the bout at the York Hall in London was stopped by a cut caused by an accidental head clash. The fight for the vacant WBO intercontinental super bantamweight title was compulsive viewing with McCann’s slick southpaw style clashing with his Romanian opponent’s barrage of hooks with either hand.

McCann had the lead at the midway stage but a cut in the seventh round on his forehead saw blood running into the Maidstone fighter’s eye and Baluta went onto win the next two rounds and the abridged ninth to see the fight finish even. A matter of days later, on August 26 at the Tarczyński Arena in Wroclaw, Poland, the IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO and The Ring Heavyweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk faced Britain’s Daniel Dubois. Usyk defended his titles with a ninth-round stoppage victory over the Brit, but the challenger’s promoter Frank Warren says he will campaign for a rematch after the referee controversially ruled a low blow in the fifth round.

Zhilei Zhang then retained his WBO Interim Heavyweight World Championship belt with a third round knockout in his rematch with Britain’s Joe Joyce at Wembley. ‘Big Bang Zhang’, who ended Joyce’s unbeaten run with a sixth-round stoppage win when the pair first collided in mid-April at the Copper Box Arena, earned a second successive victory over the Brit. Joyce was floored by a wicked right hand and despite his best efforts to get to his feet, the referee waved off the contest. Next up, Masood Abdulah won the vacant Commonwealth Silver championship on October 6 in a bout against former British super bantamweight champion Marc Leach.

Then on Saturday October 28, fight fans in the UK and Ireland will witness two worlds colliding. Here is a list of confirmed events that have been, and are set to be, showcased. All events can be re-watched on the streaming home for TNT Sports in the UK, discovery+.

One of the biggest fights of the year happens October 28 as lineal and WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury takes on PFL star Francis Ngannou in an epic showdown between two giants of combat sports.

The duo will square off in a boxing ring, marking Ngannou’s professional debut in the sport. However, the former UFC heavyweight champion is no stranger to the ring, having trained as a boxer prior to his sterling MMA career and undergoing a training camp with Mike Tyson ahead of this fight.

Fury and Ngannou will now take to the ring to end their long-standing online feud.

A shock showdown between the pair was mooted after Ngannou entered the ring and faced off with Fury following the Gypsy King’s knockout win against Dillian Whyte at Wembley back over a year ago.

The fight went cold as Ngannou was still contracted to UFC and MMA mogul Dana White refused to entertain the bout.

But now the 36-year-old is a free agent after leaving the UFC back in January.

If Fury wins, he’s already lined himself up a huge fight against Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight titles. When is Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou?

Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou will take place on Saturday, October 28. The bout will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Expect ring-walks to get going from around 10pm UK time. The fight will be a 10-round professional fight but Fury’s WBC belt will NOT be on the line. Exhibition rules will NOT be in place.
