Agriculture remains the mainstay of every economy, be it traditional agrarian society or the 21st century mechanized economy.

Few days ago, the world celebrated the World Food Day with focus on the importance of food security for national development.

At the Regional, national and sub national levels, Agriculture plays I pivotal role in development. In fact, green economy is synonymous to good health and wealth creation.

As part of the promotion of agro-industrialization and to discourage dependency on a mono economy, this event is apt.

This will reduce interest in white collar job and also discourage rural-urban or intercontinental migration, which has become the new normal.
