A poem about winter

Here's a humorous poem about a grumpy old man who doesn't want to participate in winter activities:

Oh Rajab Zamstran, oh grumpy old man, Why do you resist the winter plan? The snow is fallin g, the fire is lit, But you refuse to join in the fun and grit.

You scowl and grumble, you shake your head, "I won't play in the snow," you say instead. You cross your arms, you furrow your brow, Like a grouchy cat, you won't let go.

But why, dear Rajab, must you be so sour? Winter's joy is worth much more. Than sulking inside, all curled up tight, like a bear hibernating through the night.

Come out and play, let yourself go, Join in the laughter, let your worries flow. Make angels in the fresh white snow, Or build a fort, like kids used to know.

Your age should not keep you from delight, For winter's magic takes us out of sight. So put on your boots, grab a scarf and hat, And come enjoy the season before it's too late.

But if you persist, oh Rajab, my friend, Stubbornly refusing to amend, We'll leave you alone, to grump and frown, While we frolic, our spirits unbound.
