Breaking: Cross River State Unveils Historic US$1.075BN PPP Investment Package!

In a bold move to drive rapid industrialisation and economic transformation, the Cross River State Government has approved 16 transformative Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects valued at over ₦70 billion and US$1.075 billion.
Under the leadership of Governor Bassey Otu, these strategic investments will unlock thousands of jobs, boost food security, expand the state's revenue base, and drive inclusive growth across key sectors.
Key highlights of the investment package include:
🌾 Agriculture: Rice & oil palm value chain development, plus dairy, livestock, and fishing projects.
⚡ Energy & Power: 100MW Solar Power Project, statewide CNG infrastructure, rehabilitation of the Adiabo Gas-Fired Power Plant, and a lithium battery assembly plant.
🏗️ Infrastructure & Tourism: Calabar Fishing Port, Creek Town Industrial Park, municipal waste management, and the revamping of the Obudu Cattle Ranch, Utanga Lodge, and Bebi Airstrip.
🚗 Manufacturing & Transport: Electric vehicle manufacturing and the State Transport Company PPP.
To ensure transparency and accountability, strict governance frameworks, including Project Monitoring Committees and mandatory quarterly performance reports, have been put in place.
