Biography of Salim Abubakar Katau

Salim Abubakar Katau is a Nigerian creative professional, digital artist, and social impact advocate from Gombe State, Nigeria. Salim Abubakar Katau/ Salim Abubakar Gombe was known for using creativity, technology, and media to promote awareness, education, and societal development.

Born and raised in Gombe State, Salim began his early education at Orji Estate Primary School, Gombe and graduated in 2007, before proceeding to Jibwis Science Secondary School, Herwagana, Gombe, where he completed his secondary education in 2014. He later continued his academic journey at Gombe State University, where he pursued studies in Pharmacy while developing his passion for creativity and digital innovation.

His goal is to educate, inform, and inspire society through innovative storytelling and digital communication.

In recognition of his creativity and service to the community, Salim was appointed in June 2023 as Special Assistant on Graphics to His Excellency Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, Executive Governor of Gombe State, where he contributed his creative expertise to public communication and awareness.
