Hon. Agnes Atsu, the Commissioner for Sports Development in Cross River State, has expressed her heartfelt congratulations to Canaan Table Tennis Club of Calabar for their remarkable performance at the African Table Tennis Club Championship held in Tunisia. The prestigious event, which took place from February 21st to 24th, 2025, saw the Calabar-based team go up against some of the continent’s finest players and teams.

Representing Nigeria on this continental stage, Canaan Table Tennis Club earned a hard-fought bronze medal, making the country and Cross River State immensely proud. The club's achievement is a testament to their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship, elevating Nigeria's presence in the competitive world of table tennis.

On behalf of the Cross River State Ministry of Sports Development and the Cross River State Sports Commission, Commissioner Hon. Agnes Atsu extended her congratulations to the team.
