By ETTAH EMMANUEL O.

Canaan Queens of the Canaan Table Tennis Club Calabar, representing Nigeria at the ongoing 2025 African Clubs Championship in Tunisia, have claimed another impressive victory, this time defeating the Challengers from Madagascar.

This latest win follows their successful opening match against Grappes d’Or de Grombelia of Tunisia, solidifying their strong presence in the competition.

Canaan Queens were officially selected by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) to represent the country in this year’s championship, taking place in Tunis from February 22 to 24, 2025.

As they prepare for their next challenge against Petrojet of Egypt, the team is backed by strong leadership under Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke, Chairman of the Canaan Table Tennis Club of Calabar. Their campaign also enjoys the full support of Senator John Owan-Enoh, Honourable Minister of State for Industry, and Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu.

With their outstanding performance so far, Canaan Queens of Calabar are proving to be a formidable force in African table tennis, keeping Nigeria’s flag flying high on the continental stage.
