C’River team Canaan volleyball showcased an outstanding performance at the Invitational Volleyball Challenge 2025, securing the second-place position after a highly competitive final against Refiners of Anambra, which ended in a 3-1 defeat. Despite falling short in the final, C’River Canaan team proved their dominance throughout the tournament, impressing fans with their skill, teamwork, and resilience.

Their journey to the final was marked by remarkable victories, setting them up as a formidable force in the competition. Apart from their impressive overall performance, several individual players of C’River Canaan were recognized for their excellence. One of the team members clinched the “Best Middle Blocker”award, to Barry Tete a testament to the squad’s defensive strength.

Additionally, three players were awarded educational grants, further highlighting the team’s impact beyond the court. The team did not leave empty-handed as they proudly took home their runner-up trophy,marking yet another milestone in their growing legacy. The Invitational Volleyball Challenge 2025 provided a platform for emerging talents, and C’River Canaan’s success reflects the depth of volleyball talent in Cross River State.
