Elders' Views on Rest in Nepalese Society.

Some elders in Nepalese society have significant issues with anyone, particularly female members, who take time to rest, relax, or unwind. This perception stems from a time when they lacked the luxury of leisure. From morning until evening, their lives were filled with essential tasks such as farming, tending to cattle, and managing household chores.
Although times have changed, their beliefs about work and productivity remain deep-rooted. They tend to think that everyone should always be engaged in some activity. When they observe someone lounging or being idle, they can become angry or irritated.
