On December 6, 2024, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Ironbar, was honored with a prestigious Life Membership award by the University of Calabar Senior Staff Club. The award was presented during the Investiture/Fundraising Ceremony held at the Club’s venue on Etta Agbor Road, Calabar, which attracted numerous distinguished personalities from the political, business, and academic circles.

The award recognizes Mr. Ironbar’s exceptional contributions to the growth and development of Cross River State, particularly his dedication to humanitarian service and administrative excellence. During the ceremony, he expressed deep gratitude to the executives and members of the University of Calabar Senior Staff Club for the recognition. In his remarks, Mr. Ironbar vowed that the award would motivate him to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of the lives of the people around him, emphasizing that leadership is not only about administrative success but also about creating a positive and lasting impact on the community.

Mr. Ironbar is well-known for his outstanding administrative acumen and humanitarian efforts, which have positively influenced various sectors of society in Cross River State. His recognition as a Life Member is a testament to his integrity, hard work, and commitment to service.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Mrs. Virginia Ironbar, PhD, the Chief of Staff’s wife, and prominent political leaders such as Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba, the Cross River state APC State Party Chairman; Hon. Pius, the Commissioner for Works; Hon. Bette, a House of Assembly member representing Boki; and several other government officials, including the Special Adviser on General Duties and the SSA on Political Affairs.

The Investiture/Fundraising ceremony not only celebrated the achievements of Mr. Ironbar but also served as a platform to strengthen the ties between the University of Calabar and the state, fostering a spirit of collaboration for the continued development of the state.

As a respected figure in the state’s political landscape, the Chief of Staff’s recognition as a Life Member of the Senior Staff Club further solidifies his position as a key driver of positive change in Cross River State.
