What is your value

Many, many years ago, in a beautiful city called Port Harcourt, there lived a young man who's  named Izu.

 Izu was very handsome.

He was what you would call every lady's dream man.

And luckily for him, he had struck good on time.

Immediately.

He had graduated from the university.

He got a very good job in an oil company, where they were paying him in millions of naira.

So Izu was automatically a big boy.

He splurged money like it was water, He had already built three houses and spread his money wisely across several investments.

So a few years later, Izu decided that it was time to settle down and start raising a family of his own. So Izu started actively looking for a wife.

And he had certain qualities that he wanted his wife to possess.

He wanted her to be homely, humble, good natured, good mannered, and, of course, very beautiful.

In no time, Izu met Ene

Ene she had just recently graduated from the university and possessed all the qualities that Izu was searching for in his future wife.

So Izu and Ene dated for over one year before Izu popped the question and asked Ene to marry him.

One romantic evening at a dinner date. Ene was super excited at the prospect of becoming Izu's wife.

And so she accepted his proposal very quickly.

Barely three months later, they had a very lavish wedding ceremony.

 spared no expense whatsoever.

Izu and Ene were very happy.

So soon enough, they had settled into married life proper.

Izu was a good husband to Ene

He paid attention to her and provided for her. He made sure that she did not lack anything.

However, Izu was also a very traditional man

He did not believe that women should walk.

He believed that a man should be the one to provide entirely for his household, while the woman should stay in the home and tend to the kids.

He also believed that male children were more valuable than female children, and that every man must have a son to carry on his name.

If not, that man had failed woefully.

Ene on the other hand, was a Gen Z.

She was surprised to find out how traditional her husband was few weeks after they got married.

On the surface level, Izu looked very exposed and not so traditional.

He was more or less like a modern, you know, handsome guy.

However, the scale began to fall off her eyes very quickly when barely after a month of getting married.

They were sitting in their beautiful parlor one day when she looked at Izu and said, babe, now that our honeymoon is over, I would love to start actively looking for a job.

After all, I'm a graduate, and I had a very good result in school.

I was thinking that with your network and connection, you can put in a good word for me, either at your organization or any other place so I can get a job, Ene said, smiling and pleading.

 job?

my wife cannot work for any man.

Did I tell you I cannot provide for my home?

See my love sit at home.

Take care of yourself and the home.

I will place you on monthly salary, Izu replied while cuddling his wife.

It's not just about the money.

I want to be productive.

I want to be able to engage my mind.

I don't want to be a stay at home wife, Ene replied, sulking.

Nay, this matter is not up for discussion.

My wife will not be answering any other man, sir sa, not in this world and not in any other lifetime.

And as for being productive, you'll be overproductive in caring for our home and raising my sons, Izu replied.

Ene was not happy about it, but when she realized that Izu was serious about her not working, she decides to let the matter rest.

Besides, truly, Izu kept to his word.

Izu placed her on a monthly salary of 3 million naira every month and was also generous with the money he gave her for housekeeping, so much that she was even able to save a whooping 1 million naira from housekeeping money every month.

So every month Ene was receiving like a total of 4 million naira from her husband.

Ene was a very smart woman.

She knew that if she were to be working a regular job, there was no way she was going to earn half of what she was already getting from her husband.

She was also not a heavy spender.

So she decided that instead of feeling bad that her husband did not allow her to work, she was going to invest all the money she was getting from her husband, and she was also going to be happy and fulfilled as a stay at home wife.

Ene bought lots and lots of shares and stocks.

So she also stayed buying land.

She bought gold, all without her husband's knowledge.

Ene was also very happy. To continue tip for more
