Fellow Youths of Cross River State,

I humbly urge you to reject the call to protest and instead embrace peaceful and constructive dialogue and engagement. Let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and our state.

While acknowledging the frustrations and challenges faced by Nigerian youths, i strongly believe that violence and destruction are not part of the solutions. Instead, i encourage the youths to engage in constructive dialogue and peaceful advocacy for positive change in line with the ‘PEOPLE FIRST’ agenda of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

Protests can lead to destruction, violence, and hurt our own communities. Instead, let us engage in dialogue with our leaders, Participate in community development projects and Support initiatives that promote peace and progress in our dear state.

Permit me to also express concerns on the possibility of the protest to be hijacked and infiltrated by agents of dissidents. Bearing in mind the significance of stability and peace, i therefore urge the Youths to avoid the reoccurrence of destructive and disastrous events of the past such as the ENDSARS protest of 2020 in our dear state and country at large.

The government of Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu is taking proactive steps to address the welfare and development of youths in Cross River State. The government has also been youth-friendly and is committed to empowering our youths and addressing their concerns. Let us work together and support and protect the various infrastructural projects and human-capital development initiatives of the ‘PEOPLES FIRST’ Government led by our youth-friendly Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu to build a brighter future, not tear our state and Nation apart.

Let us choose the path of peace, unity, and progress. Say NO to protest and YES to a brighter future!
