The conclusion to the book felt more like a PR piece for NASCAR than anything. Basically, NASCAR is great, it has never been better but it will be even better tomorrow! NASCAR knows what it is doing; change is inevitable so like it or lump it. NASCAR is never wrong.

There are some very enjoyable stories and pieces of history. The portion of the book dealing with the author's tenure racing for Felix Sabates is probably the highlight. If you're the sort of fan that generally likes everything about stock car racing, you'll like this. It's pleasant and easy reading. It's very much on par with other NASCAR bios, I was hoping for something a bit more from Kyle.

Review: Got this as I am learning more about NASCAR's history and felt Kyle Petty would have an interesting perspective. Really liked the vulnerable writing tone and the behind the scenes look at the business of racing. Highly recommended for racing fans and non-fans alike.

Review: Wow! Once I picked this book up, I couldn’t set it down. Written like a conversation between two old friends, I felt as if I was sitting across the table from Kyle, having a cup of coffee, and swapping stories. There were times I cried, times I laughed and times my jaw dropped in disbelief. Kyle appears to have lived the lives of so many, all in one. He’s honest, heartfelt and tells his stories with a softness that comes from a true love for his family and the sport he cares for so deeply. Even if you aren’t a race fan, you’ll love this book - It will make you become one! You won’t regret buying this book, I promise!
