Governor Otu has exceeded all expectations in terms of infrastructural development. Despite our very limited resources, being the second to last state in terms of allocations, a quick look around reveals the state to be bustling with construction activity.

Every day, machinery is deployed across our streets, working tirelessly. This activity spans the entire state. Just this week, the Governor conducted a groundbreaking for the long-overdue 5km Ukelle-Benue road in Yala Local Government Area, significantly easing the hardships of the local residents.

For over five years, Akpabuyo and Bakassi Local Government Areas were shrouded in darkness. However, in recent weeks, residents have begun to sing songs of joy as their concerns gradually diminish. The power rehabilitation project is progressing rapidly, with most regions already having power restored.

The previously neglected state library is gradually being transformed. Government offices, untouched for over 20 years, are currently undergoing extensive remodeling. Over 40 streets have been reconstructed, totaling over 100km of roadwork. This achievement sets a new record for road construction in a single year within our region.

Almost every facility is receiving attention. The moribund Marina Resort and the Obudu Mountain Resort have been given temporary facelifts, pending full implementation of their upgraded models. Many of our state assets have been recovered and are currently being remodeled for use.

At the current pace, we are optimistic that by the end of Governor Otu's tenure in 2027, Cross River State's infrastructure will serve as a model for other states in Nigeria.
