Title: Great book - terrible binding.

Review: I would have given this book five stars if when I first received it I did not have to spend 45 minutes carefully pealing apart each and every page and seeing the stitches from the binding protruding between many of its pages all the while hoping the book didn't fall apart. The book feels fragile and I'm fairly certain it will fall apart if it is looked at too many times.
This is unfortunate because this is actually a beautiful book. The printing is glossy and sharp and the photos are stunning. This book is a solid read and I love that Kip Thorne contributed. A must have for any fan of Christopher Nolan or Interstellar... with the understanding that the binding will probably come apart.

Title: that puts this book into the category of probably one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen

Review: I agree with others on the "sticky page" problem. Having worked for years in the printing industry, I can say this: the sticking problem would not have happened if the printer had allowed more time for the ink to dry on the printed sheets before binding the book. That said, the printing production that went into this book is very high end......every single page, after the ink printing stage was done, was run through the press one last time and a coat of clear shiny shellac was applied to the pages, giving them that gorgeous shine and making the colorwork just glow gorgeously. And to top this class printing job off, they printed the text in silver ink, and on top of that rich black inked page......... well.....that puts this book into the category of probably one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen. Between the great "contents" of this book (the photography was excellent in quality), the text info, and the quality printing job on this book, I say this book ought to get some sort of prize.

Title: I couldn't be happier with this book

Review: As an avid Interstellar fan, I couldn't be happier with this book. I'm pleased with the layout and design of the pages: big, gorgeous photos, concept art, and snapshots from the movie. The interviews were pleasing to read and I especially enjoyed the Hans Zimmer section!

I've heard some complaints about the sticky pages, and I was worried at first, but I'm glad I didn't pass up on this book. I was very cautious upon receiving the book, as the complaints turned out to be true - the pages are sticky upon arrival! But after turning each and every page carefully, I found that the stickiness went away after one read through of the entire book. It's on my coffee table now and I turn through it from time to time without a problem.

Title: Book just falls apart

Review: This review is not about the contents of the book, which are amazing. This low review is regarding the quality of the book. Whenever I opened it up the spine would make a loud cracking noise. Overall opened the book up around 10 times over its lifetime . After awhile the middle of the book started coming apart. I feel that when I open a book I shouldn't be worried about it falling apart.

Review: A handsome book, well illustrated and designed. For film buffs (or geeks) like me, it could do with more on the film-making process, the technology and the concepts behind it, the extended concept development and so forth, so as it is it seems a bit "slick". That said, it is a good book to have in one's hands - it's clear, informative, the graphic design is lavish without being lurid and the images are terrific. It's certainly not a waste of money and it is a pleasure to flip through with a cup of coffee. I'd recommend buying it or giving it as a present.

Review: I loved this movie, and I had to pick up this book. It really is gorgeous – large, full color pictures, concept art, behind the scenes interviews, and more. I would highly recommend it for any Interstellar or Nolan fan.

I could not give this 5 stars simply because, like so many other complaints, the pages were sticking together. It didn't really damage the pages, but you could see some of the texturing where the black ink peeled apart. I got the book at a steep discount so I can't really complain.

Review: Fast delivery on this book but I am not impressed with the book itself it is so small, not what I expected. And no explanation about the story of the film which is what I was looking for.
