Gyms across the world have people with similar stories to those in this book. If you are looking for something more in life, read this book. If these are the kinds of people that you want in your life after reading. Go find a Jiu Jitsu academy and sign up.

Ask the instructors and students about the journeys they have had. You will find they are similar to what you read in this book.

If you are already training and want a friend or loved one to train. Buy them a copy of this book, they may just wind up stepping on to the mat....

Review: Marty has interviewed some of the biggest names in the Jiu-Jitsu community on his podcast. This book is a narrative of interviews with different students and how the gentle art can have such a profound impact on the battles we all face at one time or another. I have the pleasure of training with Marty on a pretty regular basis and his passion for connecting with people is evident in the stories here. Marty is the rare person that listens more than he speaks, and I have no doubt there are real people behind these stories.
A great read.

Review: I can’t remember the last time I sat down and read a book from start to finish in one session. It’s funny because when I talk to people who don’t train about why I love Jiu-Jitsu so much. I always say I don’t know why, I never imagined myself rolling on the mats with sweaty people, or I don’t understand how classes about wrist releases and combat base can give me such a different outlook on life.....The honest answer is right here! It’s the people, it’s the connection, it’s the RIPPLES!
