Review: Scott Hogle's book is a very practical, action-oriented book with plenty of great tips, tables, charts, laws, and insights from experienced SalesMakers like himself. What I like best about Hogle's approach is that it is ethical. It is about respecting people, caring about people, listening to people, and serving people by helping them to get what they truly want or need. It is also a comprehensive book. It is not just about the first sale, but about the continued service and long-term relationships that support repeat sales. Hogle doesn't claim that his approach is easy, but it is highly effective. You can be very successful in sales by treating people right.

Review: This book is fantastic. It is billed as a sales book, but it is actually a real world guide to building relationships. It is written in a style that is very easy to read, digest, and implement. If you have ever been to one of Scott's speaking events, you already know that, even if there are 2500 people in the room, he is having a one to one conversation with you! I found this book to be written in the same style - Scott coaches you, individually, on how to build relationships that will benefit you not only in sales, but in life. This is a book that you will mark up, dog ear, and refer to over and over.

Review: I worked in executive management with an HR Masters Degree for an international organization with over 250,000 employees and oversaw dozens of high level managers. It was our people skills in handling employees and customers to which I attribute our success. Knowing how to manage people in a positive way when things weren’t always positive was job #1. Author Scott Hogle is spot on as he writes at length in Persuade how to connect with people and build relationships as well as how to practically develop skill sets to motivate people and make sales. This book will help anyone in any profession where dealing with people is critical to success. My division was instrumental in closing one of the biggest deals in our company. Our big client renewal made for a game changing event in our company. It was listening and ‘hearing what others didn’t hear’ to which I attributed the monumental win, exactly what Persuade teaches. I don’t consider myself a salesperson or a closer but I am a manager who has led for years and I consider the tools in Persuade to be valuable in my role. There are new insights about communication and relationships I have not read in other books before, simply brilliant. Persuade touched me as a mother too. Whether you are looking to improve your personal relationships or build your business, Scott Hogle’s Persuade will help you do both. A favorite quote comes from chapter 6, The Law of the Close wherein the author quotes, The way SalesMakers transform and become a better version of themselves is by improving the way they think and speak. If you want to hone your skills as a sales professional, Persuade is a must for your collection!

Review: From the beginning, I knew this was a book I needed. As Hogle dedicated the book to his boys and talked about how the 7 laws would help them I was intrigued. Then to see how his personal stories from his family and life are woven into the book I understood this was not meer sentimentalism. The power of these 7 laws is that they work in all relational contexts. If you have a family, work in customer service, sales, or any position that requires interacting with people- this book will be invaluable to you. The wisdom in these pages is hard fought and hard won and I plan on putting these 7 laws into immediate application in my own life.

Review: i just listened to the audio book. I've spent my entire career in business, the last 20 years successfully in Realestate. The author is very articulate in describing successful principles that can be used not just in business but in all inter personal relationships.Persuade is a great teaching tool and I recommend it. It has simple and sophisticated ides in it so take your time, its helpful in so many ways.
