That said, I'm still giving the book 5 stars as the recipes are awesome and I make them over and over again. His crust recipes always turn out well, and the fillings are invariably tasty and well seasoned.

Review: What could be better than a savory pie with a delicious flaky crust ?
The author is an absolute expert in this genre. One fabulous pie after another.
His crust recipes are exceptional and so easy.
Every recipe I’ve tried has turned out to be a winner.

Review: I have followed Ken's website for a number of years, and learned so much about technique, the why's and what's. Always interesting recipes, with lots of variety and variations to choose from. For those who like a photo for every recipe, you won't get that from Ken's cookbooks, but you get so much more! The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that he doesn't have much help for those of us who must be gluten free.
